President Christian H. and Sister Sibylle E. Fingerle

President Christian H. and Sister Sibylle E. Fingerle

About the Fingerle Family

Christian and Sibylle Fingerle have been married for more than two decades and are the parents of Marisa (married to her sweetheart Daniel), Jonatan, Laura, Anna-Marie and Katharina. The family lived many years in South Germany before they relocated close to Frankfurt to meet professional needs.

Both parents received their professional training in the field of business. President Fingerle taught business administration and English in commercial schools before his engagement with Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. He worked as the Director of S&I in the Europe Area which serves students and teachers in more than 30 countries who speak over 20 languages. He is a former bishop and stake president and Area Seventy.

Sister Fingerle taught for numerous years Early Morning Seminary on a daily basis. Together with her husband she directed the second German EFY session. She is interested in reading, writing, painting and learning the Hebrew language. She regularly runs with friends or her husband. The greatest luxury the family enjoys is having the mother stay in the home with the children.

The family feels inspired by a reassuring statement from a father and prophet in the Book of Mormon: “I know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.” (Alma 36:3) Throughout their life they have seen again and again that this principle has relevance to the present.
